Below are examples of Faults as seen by the breeders/owners of these Akitas.

To those who are viewing this page, EVERY Akita has a Fault of some type.  Ask many breeders whom have much experience with the breed, and most will tell you they have never seen a "Perfect" Akita.  As the breeders become more knowledgeable, and research studies are provided, hopefully we will work closer to producing less faults and healthier Akitas. Until which time, it is your responsibility as a breeder and/or potential buyer, do your research to understand where the faults are in this breed.

Flat feet can be contributed too by not caring for the toe nails properly.
Feet can splay from being kept on certain surfaces.
Lack of Tuck up - or To Much Tuck Up can be altered by improper weight of the Akita.
Loose skin can sometimes be caused by dieting your Akita to quickly.
The Topline can be altered from a bitch whelping puppies (large litters).
An Ear can be broken by injury.
The Akita can loose the tightness in the curl of their tail as they become seniors.
