Obtaining a puppy from a breeder that implements socializing at an early age is imperative.  Akita puppies are inquisitive and require much structure while they learn and explore their new world.  Ask how your breeder has socialized the litter you are interested in.  Also ask how your breeder recommends to socialize your new puppy once you acquire it.  Socializing will help to lay a solid foundation for the future of your Akita's temperament and acceptance to new obstacles.

The puppy room is an exciting place with noises, movement, items to crawl on into and under. Slippery floor, mat floors and soft floors. Hanging eagles throw shadows when hit and all hanging toys have noisemakers attached. Simple and constantly changing. The hanging toys hit metal items attached to the wall creating huge metal clings that once discovered are a constant source of fun noise. Socialization includes getting inside of moving toys and listening to all kinds of audio tapes, as well as items mom can find to acquaint us with sound.
